15.6-inch 165Hz gaming laptop

The Acer Nitro V 15 pairs a 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel at 165Hz with an Intel Core i5-13420H eight-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 GPU with 8GB GDDR6. It ships with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD, running Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024. The chassis measures 14.23 by 0.62 by 9.44 inches and weighs 4.66 lbs.

Thunderbolt and WiFi 6 connectivity

Three USB-A 3.2 ports, one Thunderbolt port, one HDMI output and one RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet jack handle peripherals and external displays. Wireless links use WiFi 6 (2x2) and Bluetooth 5.4. The 165Hz screen refresh rate is the practical ceiling for the built-in panel; higher rates would need an external monitor.

RTX 5050 8GB GDDR6 graphics

The laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR6 video memory is the single specification that decides whether this machine fits the workload. It determines frame rates in modern titles and capacity for GPU-accelerated creative tasks. Buyers should match that 8GB frame buffer against the texture and resolution targets of their intended applications.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 32 GB DDR4 and 2 TB PCIe SSD configuration or look for a different capacity?

The laptop ships with 32 GB DDR4 memory and a 2 TB PCIe SSD already installed, so there is no alternative capacity to select for this model.

What does the 4.6 GHz boost clock on the i5-13420H actually deliver in daily use?

The 8-core processor runs at a 3.4 GHz base and can reach 4.6 GHz on short bursts, giving quick response in games and multitasking while staying within the laptop's thermal limits.

How fast is the Thunderbolt port and what can it drive?

The single Thunderbolt connection supports high-speed data and video output, letting you attach fast external storage or an additional display alongside the HDMI port.
