16″ WQXGA 180Hz display for competitive play

The Acer Nitro V 16S pairs a 16.0 inch WQXGA panel at 2560 x 1600 with a 180Hz refresh rate. An AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 8-core processor runs at 2.0 GHz base and boosts to 5.0 GHz. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics with 8 GB GDDR7 handle modern titles. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed.

32 GB DDR5 4800 memory and 2 TB PCIe storage

32 GB of DDR5 4800 memory gives headroom for multitasking and demanding games. The 2 TB PCIe SSD holds a large library and loads levels quickly. Heavy workloads that exceed 8 GB of video memory may require texture-quality adjustments. Memory and storage are not user-expandable beyond the factory configuration.

USB4 Type-C with DC-in and HDMI 2.1 connectivity

The chassis measures 14.08 x 10.39 x 0.79 inches and weighs 4.6 pounds. Ports include three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, a USB4 Type-C with power delivery, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 Ethernet, a microSD slot and a headset jack. A Kensington lock slot adds physical security. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth provide wireless links.

Questions about this item

Will my existing USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A peripherals work with the three Type-A ports on this Nitro V 16S?

Yes, the laptop provides three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports that are backward compatible with older USB devices, so your current mice, keyboards and external drives will connect without adapters.

How can I confirm the 16" WQXGA panel is running at its native 180 Hz refresh rate after I set up Windows 11?

Open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and verify that the refresh rate dropdown shows 180 Hz for the built-in 2560 x 1600 screen.

Does the box include a MicroSD card for the built-in slot, or do I need to buy one separately?

The MicroSD slot is empty; a card is not supplied, so you will need to purchase one separately if you want to use that reader.
