15.6-inch 144Hz gaming laptop

The Lenovo LOQ 15 pairs a 14-core Intel Core i7-13650HX with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 GPU and 8 GB GDDR7 video memory. A 15.6-inch FHD panel at 1920 x 1080 and 144 Hz drives fast-paced play. 64 GB DDR5 and a 4 TB PCIe SSD handle large libraries and heavy multitasking. Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2021 licence ship pre-installed.

Upgrade path from lower-tier machines

Moving up from a 6-core CPU or 8 GB GPU step delivers noticeable headroom in modern titles and creative workloads. The jump is worth it when your current system throttles at 1080p high settings or struggles with 64 GB memory workloads. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 replace older wireless standards for lower latency. The 10 Gbps USB-C port with Power Delivery and DisplayPort supersedes slower single-function ports.

Compatibility checklist before ordering

Verify that your external monitors support HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort over USB-C for full resolution and refresh rate. Confirm your dock or hub can negotiate 10 Gbps on the USB-C link and 5 Gbps on the Type-A ports. Ensure the 14.17 x 10.19 x 0.94 inch chassis fits your bag or sleeve. Check that the 5.28 pound weight meets your mobility needs.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the Lenovo LOQ 15 so I can check it fits my bag or sleeve?

The chassis measures 14.17 x 10.19 x 0.94 inches and weighs 5.28 pounds, so a 15.6-inch laptop sleeve or backpack compartment with at least those internal clearances will accommodate it.

How is the 64 GB DDR5 memory installed and what step do people often miss?

The 64 GB DDR5 is factory-installed in both SO-DIMM slots; the common mistake is trying to add a third stick when no spare slot exists, so any future upgrade requires replacing the existing pair with a matched 64 GB kit.

When will the 4 TB PCIe SSD likely need replacement and what should I watch for?

Under typical gaming workloads a 4 TB PCIe SSD lasts several years; monitor SMART health attributes in Windows and plan a clone-and-swap once the drive reports high wear or uncorrectable errors.
