Slim 16-inch gaming laptop

This Acer Nitro V Slim packs an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor with a 16 TOPS NPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 video memory, 32GB DDR5 5600MHz RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe M.2 SSD. The 16.0-inch IPS panel delivers 2560 x 1600 resolution at 180 Hz in a black chassis running Windows 11 Home.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Creators and gamers who want a high-refresh WQXGA display, dedicated RTX 5070 graphics and on-board AI acceleration in a slim form factor will match well. Buyers needing a touchscreen, a larger screen diagonal, or more than 8GB of video memory for heavy 4K workloads should consider other configurations.

The specification that decides fit

The 180 Hz 2560 x 1600 IPS display combined with the RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 GPU determines whether this laptop meets the target frame rates and visual fidelity for competitive gaming and content creation workflows.

Questions about this item

What does the USB4 Type-C port support for external displays?

The USB4 Type-C port carries DisplayPort Alt Mode and the HDMI 2.1 output handles 4K at high refresh rates, so both can drive an external WQXGA monitor at 180 Hz.

Which SSD form factor and keying does the single M.2 slot accept?

The slot takes a 2280 M-key PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe module; the factory 1 TB drive uses that exact form factor.

How do I add a second NVMe drive without cloning the Windows partition?

Insert the new M.2 module, boot into Windows Disk Management, initialise it as GPT, then create a fresh volume — the existing OS drive remains untouched.
