24" Full HD 240 Hz Gaming Monitor

The Acer Nitro VG240Y S3 is a 24 inch gaming monitor built around a Full HD panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate. It uses AMD Radeon technology so the graphics card controls the frame rate instead of a fixed monitor refresh. The slim bezel design saves desk space and allows multiple units to sit side by side for a wider view.

Competitive gamers seeking high refresh on a budget

This display suits players who want smooth motion at 240 Hz without paying for a higher resolution panel. Buyers who need more screen area, a curved panel or built-in speakers should look at other models. The stand provides tilt adjustment only, so users wanting height, swivel or pivot movement will need a separate mount.

240 Hz refresh rate with AMD Radeon sync

The single specification that decides fit is the 240 Hz refresh rate paired with AMD Radeon variable refresh support. Your graphics card must be able to push frame rates near that level over HDMI to benefit. If your GPU cannot sustain high frame rates at Full HD, a lower refresh monitor may be the better value.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 240Hz panel get during all-day sessions?

The monitor runs silently with no fan; typical LED backlights stay warm but not hot during extended 240Hz use.

What cables or ports must my PC already have to run this display?

Your graphics card needs an HDMI output; a matching HDMI cable is included in the box.

Will my older GPU work with the Radeon adaptive-sync feature on this screen?

Any GPU that supports variable refresh over HDMI can use the Radeon sync; older cards without that support will still show an image at fixed rates.
