Compact touchscreen Chromebook for schools

The Acer Chromebook 511 combines an 11.6 inch touchscreen with an Intel N150 processor, 8 GB of memory and 64 GB of flash storage. ChromeOS keeps the system light for classroom tasks, web apps and cloud workflows. LTE, HSPA+ and DC-HSPA+ give connectivity away from Wi-Fi networks.

Fanless design runs silent with all-day battery life

Integrated graphics and the low-power Intel N150 chip produce minimal heat, so the chassis stays cool without a fan. The 22 hour battery rating supports a full day of lessons or field work on a single charge. Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) maintains fast wireless links in crowded environments.

64 GB flash storage limits local file space

The eMMC drive holds the operating system and essential apps but fills quickly with media or large offline files. Buyers who need more storage for videos, projects or local databases should consider a model with a larger drive or plan on cloud storage.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the LTE connectivity on the Acer Chromebook 511 C737LT?

Insert an active nano-SIM into the side tray, then open Settings > Network > Mobile data and follow the carrier activation prompts; the step most people miss is enabling the APN profile before rebooting.

Which component will need replacement first on the C737LT-C6Y0?

The 64 GB eMMC flash storage has a finite write-cycle rating, so heavy local caching or Android app installs will wear it out before the soldered 8 GB RAM or the 11.6" IPS touchscreen.

What limits sustained performance on the Intel N150 during long workloads?

The fanless thermal design throttles the N150 once the chassis reaches its temperature ceiling, so extended compiles or video exports slow down after several minutes of full load.
