Compact ChromeOS laptop for light tasks

The Acer Chromebook 311 C725 runs ChromeOS on a MediaTek MT8 processor with 4 GB of memory and 64 GB of flash storage. Its 11.6 inch display shows 1366 by 768 resolution at 60 Hz. The matte ComfyView panel uses IPS technology for wider viewing angles. A front-facing webcam and an English US keyboard complete the basic package for home or classroom use.

Silent operation with long battery life

The fanless design keeps the system completely silent during everyday workloads. MediaTek MT8 combined with ARM Mali-G52 graphics draws little power, enabling up to 15 hours of battery run time on a single charge. The low thermal output means the chassis stays cool to the touch even after extended sessions of browsing or document editing.

Rugged matte finish with modern wireless

The black chassis resists fingerprints thanks to its matte ComfyView coating. Integrated Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) provides fast, stable connections for cloud apps and video calls. Bluetooth is included for peripherals such as mice or headphones. The fixed 4 GB memory and 64 GB storage cannot be upgraded, so buyers who need more capacity or local expansion should consider other models.

Questions about this item

How do I install a microSD card to expand the 64 GB flash memory, and what step do people miss?

Insert the card into the side slot until it clicks; the step people miss is formatting it as internal storage in ChromeOS settings so apps can use the extra space.

What maintenance will the 4 GB memory and MediaTek MT8 chip need later?

No hardware upgrades are possible — memory is soldered — so keep vents clear, restart weekly to clear caches, and apply ChromeOS updates for security patches.

What limit appears first during a long video call on Wi-Fi 7?

The 4 GB memory fills first, causing tab throttling, while the ARM Mali-G52 integrated graphics and 60 Hz panel handle the stream without thermal throttling.
