Compact USB-C Ethernet Adapter

The Acer America ODK440 adds a Gigabit RJ45 port to USB-C devices that lack built-in wired networking. It targets professionals, students, and travelers who need a stable connection for meetings, streaming, or large file transfers when Wi-Fi is unreliable.

Upgrade from Unreliable Wireless

This adapter replaces a fluctuating Wi-Fi link with a wired 1000Mbps connection using the RTL8153B chipset, falling back to 100Mbps or 10Mbps on older networks. The jump is worth it whenever a crowded spectrum or weak signal causes dropouts during video calls, online classes, or competitive gaming sessions.

Gigabit Headroom with Cat6 Cable

At full Gigabit throughput the adapter handles high-bandwidth downloads, 4K streaming, and low-latency gaming without saturating the link. It runs out of headroom only on multi-gigabit LANs or when a Cat5e cable limits the negotiated speed to 100Mbps.
