In normal mode the lamp is rated for 3,500 hours of use, while economy mode extends the rating to 5,000 hours. Brightness and heat output differ between modes, so actual runtime will depend on which setting the projector uses most often.

Questions about this item

Which lamp version should I choose for the P1223 projector?

Three OEM versions exist: the original bulb-maker module, the same lamp sold by Acer, and an alternative OEM bulb-maker module; a fourth compatible version uses genuine OEM parts at a lower cost.

What does the 240W rating mean once the lamp is installed?

It is the power the projector draws to drive the Osram P-VIP bulb, delivering the brightness and colour performance the P1223 was designed for.

What interface does the lamp use and what does it limit?

The lamp plugs into the projector's dedicated lamp socket; the 240W rating caps the maximum power the module can draw during operation.
