Exact replacement module

The Acer AW318 lamp module ships as a complete housing with a 195 W Osram P-VIP bulb installed. It matches the original MC.JN811.001 specification so the projector recognises it immediately and no alignment or wiring steps are required. Installers simply swap the old unit and reset the lamp timer.

Lamp-life trade-off

Standard mode delivers 5000 hours of brightness before replacement is due. Switching the projector to Eco mode extends that figure to 10000 hours at the cost of reduced light output. The two figures are fixed by the bulb design; no firmware update or menu setting can exceed them.

Upgrade from bare bulbs

Users who previously bought bare replacement bulbs and re-used the old cage gain a factory-assembled module that eliminates handling of the quartz envelope and guarantees correct reflector alignment. The jump is worthwhile when downtime must be minimised or when the existing housing shows heat warping or cracked clips.

Questions about this item

Which Acer AW318 lamp version should I choose for my projector?

The AW318 module uses a genuine Osram P-VIP 195W bulb inside a pre-assembled housing, so any listed OEM or compatible version fits the same MC.JN811.001 slot and installs without extra tools.

What does the 195W Osram P-VIP rating mean once the lamp is running in my machine?

The 195W Osram P-VIP bulb delivers the original brightness and colour performance; expect roughly 5000 hours in standard mode or 10000 hours in eco mode before replacement is needed.

Does the AW318 lamp use a special connector or standard interface that limits which projectors it fits?

It is built to the exact MC.JN811.001 specification with the original housing and plug, so it seats directly in every Acer projector that calls for the AW318 module.
