Ready-to-fit projector lamp module

The Acer EV-S62A module ships with a new Osram P-VIP 195W bulb already mounted in its housing. It is intended for owners of compatible Acer projectors who need a direct replacement without separate bulb handling. The MC.JN811.001 assembly arrives fully assembled so the projector can return to service immediately.

Simple swap installation

Installation consists of opening the projector lamp door, removing the old module and sliding this unit into place until it seats firmly. No tools or bulb alignment are required because the housing is pre-assembled. The main risk is forgetting to reset the projector lamp-hour counter after fitting, which can trigger premature replacement warnings.

Lamp life and brightness limits

The Osram P-VIP 195W bulb is rated for 5000 hours in standard mode and 10000 hours in eco mode. Brightness will gradually decline over those intervals and colour balance may shift as the lamp ages. Eco mode extends life but reduces light output, so it may not suit rooms with high ambient light.

Not for users needing higher wattage

Buyers whose projectors specify a different wattage or lamp type cannot use this module. It also does not address requirements for laser or LED light sources, which operate on entirely different principles.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the EV-S62A lamp is performing correctly after installation?

The projector should ignite reliably and maintain steady brightness; the lamp is rated for 5000 hours in standard mode and 10000 hours in eco mode, so the hour counter should advance normally without flickering or premature dimming.

What comes with the EV-S62A module and what must I source separately?

The unit includes a new Osram P-VIP 195W bulb pre-assembled in its housing (Acer part MC.JN811.001) for direct installation; no extra components are required.

Which EV-S62A version should I choose among the OEM and compatible options?

Three OEM versions exist — direct from the original bulb maker, from Acer, or from another OEM supplier — plus a lower-cost compatible using genuine OEM parts; all meet ISO9001 quality checks for beam performance, ignition, voltage and run-time.
