16" WUXGA 180Hz gaming laptop

This Acer Nitro V 16 gaming laptop pairs a 16.0 inch 1920 x 1200 IPS panel with a 180Hz refresh rate for smooth motion. The Intel Core 7 240H 10-core processor runs at 2.50 GHz with a 5.2 GHz boost and 16 threads. It ships with 32GB DDR5 4800 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD running Windows 11 Home.

GeForce RTX 5050 8 GB graphics

The single specification that decides fit is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU with 8GB video memory. This discrete card replaces the integrated graphics for gaming and creative workloads. The 180Hz display can show every frame the GPU produces at this resolution. No other GPU option exists on this model.

Sustained load behaviour

The chassis measures 14.17 x 10.81 x 0.96 inches and weighs 5.29 pounds, giving the cooling system room to move air during long sessions. Two USB-A 3.2 and two Type-C 3.2 ports plus HDMI 2.0 and RJ45 stay available while the system runs hot. Wi-Fi 6 and the backlit keyboard remain responsive under continuous load.

Questions about this item

What does the 180Hz refresh rate mean when I am playing games on this 16 inch panel?

The 180Hz panel redraws the image 180 times per second, so fast motion in games stays sharp and input feels more immediate on the 16.0 inch WUXGA display.

What does the USB 3.2 Type-C port actually support for video and data on this laptop?

Each Type-C 3.2 port carries up to 10 Gbps data and can drive an external monitor through its native DisplayPort alt mode.

What are the exact dimensions and weight I need to clear for a backpack or desk mount?

The chassis measures 14.17 x 10.81 x .96 inches and weighs 5.29 pounds, so any sleeve or mount must accommodate that footprint and thickness.
