Built for competitive gaming

The Acer Nitro V 16S pairs an 8-core Ryzen 7 260 processor with an RTX 5060 laptop GPU carrying 8GB of GDDR7 memory. A 16.0 inch WUXGA IPS panel refreshes at 180Hz and resolves 1920 by 1200 pixels. The system ships with 64GB of DDR5 4800 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD, all driven by Windows 11 Pro.

Connectivity and input upgrades

Three USB-A 3.2 ports and one USB-C 3.2 port handle peripherals, while HDMI and RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet cover external displays and wired networking. A MicroSD card reader adds removable-media flexibility. The 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard and Killer AX1650i Wi-Fi 6 adapter are included as standard equipment.

Memory and storage headroom

The 64GB DDR5 kit and 2TB PCIe drive provide generous space for modern titles, creative projects and heavy multitasking. Demanding workloads that exceed the 8GB GDDR7 frame buffer or saturate the 180Hz panel will hit the GPU memory ceiling first.

Questions about this item

How do I upgrade the 64GB DDR5 4800 memory or 2TB PCIe SSD later?

The 64GB DDR5 4800 memory and 2TB PCIe SSD are user-accessible; remove the bottom panel to reach the SO-DIMM slots and M.2 bay for future capacity increases.

What thermal limit appears first when the Ryzen 7 260 runs at 5.1GHz boost during long sessions?

The 8-core Ryzen 7 260 hitting its 5.1GHz max boost triggers the cooling system’s temperature ceiling before the RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 reaches its own limit.

How loud are the fans and how hot does the 14.08 x 10.39 x .79 inch chassis get under all-day load?

Under sustained load the dual-fan cooling keeps the 4.6-pound chassis warm but manageable; fan noise rises to a noticeable but not intrusive level during extended gaming.
