Designed for Children's Daily Use

Acer OHW328 wired over-ear headphones are built for children aged two and older. The adjustable headband fits toddlers through to adults, and the 5.29 oz weight keeps neck strain low during long school or travel sessions. Multi-directional earcups move ±10° to match different head shapes without creating pressure points.

Wired 3.5 mm Connection and Volume Limits

The 3.5 mm jack works with any device that has a standard audio port, including Chromebooks, laptops, tablets and phones. No batteries or pairing are required. A hardware switch selects either an 85 dB limit for classroom and home use or a 94 dB limit for noisier travel environments, protecting young ears in both scenarios.

Check Your Device Has a 3.5 mm Port

Verify that the computer, tablet or media player the child will use still provides a 3.5 mm headphone socket, as many newer models omit it. The headphones have no microphone, so they suit listening-only tasks such as stories, videos or music. If a headset with a boom mic is needed for calls or lessons, this model will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 85 dB or the 94 dB volume limit for my child?

Select 85 dB for everyday school or home use to protect developing hearing; switch to 94 dB only when ambient noise such as travel makes the lower level hard to hear.

What does the 40 mm driver size mean for everyday listening?

The 40 mm dynamic driver delivers clear stereo sound with enough output for stories, videos and music while the volume limiter keeps levels safe for young ears.

What does the 3.5 mm jack limit in practice?

The 3.5 mm connector works with any device that has a standard headphone socket — Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, phones — but it cannot connect to USB-C or Lightning ports without an adapter.
