16-inch OLED 240 Hz gaming laptop

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI combines a 16-inch OLED panel running at 240 Hz with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics. It targets gamers and creators who need high refresh rates and colour accuracy in a portable Windows 11 Pro system. The 2560 x 1600 resolution covers 100% DCI-P3 for vivid visuals.

24-core CPU and 8 GB GDDR7 GPU under sustained load

The 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX operates at a 2.1 GHz base clock and can reach 5.4 GHz boost across its 8 performance and 16 efficient cores. The RTX 5060 laptop GPU provides 8 GB of GDDR7 memory, while 64 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz RAM and a 2 TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe SSD keep data flowing during extended sessions. G-SYNC synchronises the display to the GPU for tear-free motion.

Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1

A single Thunderbolt 4 port supports high-speed peripherals and external displays up to its bandwidth ceiling. HDMI 2.1 outputs 4K at high refresh rates within the specification limits. DisplayPort 1.4 is routed through a USB-C 3.2 port for additional monitor options. Wi-Fi 6E and a 230 W lithium-ion power adapter complete the I/O set.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 230W adapter draw under full load from the Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5060?

The included 230W lithium-ion power adapter supplies enough headroom for the 24-core Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5060 to sustain 5.4GHz boost clocks during extended gaming sessions.

Which external monitor cables do I need for the Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1 ports?

Use a certified Thunderbolt 4 cable for the USB-C port and an HDMI 2.1 cable for the full-size HDMI port to drive 2560 x 1600 at 240Hz with G-SYNC.

Will my existing DDR5 5600 SODIMMs work if I want to expand the 64GB later?

The laptop ships with 64GB DDR5 5600MHz already installed; both SODIMM slots are occupied, so expansion would require replacing the current modules.
