Predator Triton 16 gaming laptop

The Predator Triton 16 is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i7-13700H 14-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 8GB GPU. It ships with 16GB of memory and a 1 TB PCIe SSD. The 240Hz WQXGA display targets competitive players who want high refresh rates in a portable silver chassis. Buyers who need a larger screen or desktop-class cooling should look elsewhere.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The slim 0.78-inch profile houses a 14-core CPU that can reach 5.0 GHz under load, so sustained gaming will generate noticeable heat and fan noise. The 240Hz panel draws more power than lower-refresh screens, reducing unplugged runtime during heavy use. Light productivity tasks run cooler and quieter thanks to the efficient-core architecture. No specific acoustic or thermal figures are provided by the manufacturer.

240Hz WQXGA G-SYNC display

The 16-inch panel delivers a 2560 x 1600 resolution at 240Hz with 500 nits brightness and 100% sRGB coverage. G-SYNC support synchronises the display to the RTX 4070 output for tear-free motion. The 16:10 aspect ratio adds vertical space for UI elements in games and productivity apps. This panel specification is the primary factor in deciding whether the laptop matches your visual requirements.

Questions about this item

How do I install more RAM in the Predator Triton 16 and what step do people miss?

The 16GB DDR5 memory is soldered to the motherboard, so no SO-DIMM slot exists. The step buyers miss is checking this before purchasing extra sticks that will not fit.

What maintenance or replacement will the 1 TB PCIe SSD need later?

The 1 TB PCIe SSD has no moving parts and requires no scheduled maintenance. If capacity fills up, you can clone to a larger PCIe drive, but the original drive itself does not wear out on a predictable schedule.

What limit appears first on the i7-13700H during long gaming sessions?

The 14-core i7-13700H hits its thermal ceiling before power limits, so sustained clocks drop once the cooling solution saturates.
