Built for competitive play

The Legion 5 15 is a 15.1 inch gaming laptop with a 165Hz WQXGA panel and an Intel Core i7-14700HX 20-core processor. It targets players who need high frame rates in a portable chassis. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2021 licence ship pre-installed.

Graphics decide the tier

The single specification that defines fit is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR7 video memory. That discrete card drives the 2560 x 1600 display at 165Hz in modern titles. Integrated graphics are present but secondary.

Thermals stay controlled

A vapour-chamber cooling system keeps the 20-core CPU and RTX 5060 within target temperatures during extended sessions. Fan noise remains at a moderate level under typical gaming loads. The 33 MB smart cache and 28 threads help the processor finish workloads efficiently, limiting sustained power draw.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.1 inch WQXGA 165Hz panel fit in a standard 15 inch laptop sleeve?

The chassis measures 13.58 by 10.05 by .85 inches, so a sleeve sized for a typical 15 inch notebook will accommodate it.

Does the single USB-C port that supports Power Delivery allow charging the laptop from a compatible dock or adapter?

Yes, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port supports Power Delivery and DisplayPort at 10Gbps for charging and video output.

Is the 32GB DDR5 4800 memory soldered or can it be expanded later?

The system ships with 32GB of DDR5 4800 installed; the supplier opens the factory seal for upgrades, so additional slots may be available depending on the specific board layout.
