Questions about this item

How do I connect the 7.4 mm x 5.0 mm barrel plug to my laptop, and what is the common mistake?

Align the centre pin and outer sleeve, then push straight in until it seats fully; the step people miss is twisting the plug, which can bend the internal pin.

When will the 65 W 18.5 V adapter need replacement, and what should I watch for?

Replace it if the cable frays near the brick, the plug becomes loose, or the brick overheats and shuts down under normal 3.5 A load.
