A 4" flexible uFL antenna covering 2.4–2.5GHz with 4dBi gain and 50Ω impedance for direct IoT module connection
This 100mm flexible antenna connects directly via a uFL connector to 2.4–2.5GHz wireless modules. It suits developers adding Wi-Fi to IoT prototypes or embedded boards such as the CC3000. The omni-directional radiation pattern covers a broad area without precise aiming. Approximate gain is 4dBi with a 50Ω impedance match.
The antenna is a passive component and draws no power or generates no heat during operation. It adds no audible noise to a build. Efficiency is rated at 90% across the 2400–2500MHz and 4900–5900MHz bands. VSWR stays at 2.0 maximum with 140MHz bandwidth.
The fitted uFL connector removes the need for separate adapters between the antenna and compatible radio boards. Cable length is 100mm and the radiating element measures 40mm by 8mm. Total weight is 0.7g. Linear polarisation and omni-directional radiation are inherent to the design.

Align the uFL plug squarely over the board receptacle and press straight down with a fingertip until it clicks; the 100 mm flexible cable then routes without putting side-load on the socket.
The 40 mm × 8 mm radiating element weighs 0.7 g and is rated for continuous 2.4–2.5 GHz operation; no scheduled replacement is required unless the cable sheath is cut or the uFL plug is physically broken.
The bandwidth spec lists VSWR 2.0 max across 140 MHz centred on 2.4 GHz; pushing continuous power beyond the point where reflected power exceeds that ratio will be the first sustained-use limit.
