Sewable CR2032 Battery Holder for Wearable Projects
This sewable CR2032 battery holder adds a compact power source to small wearable projects. It accepts standard 20 mm diameter lithium coin cells with 3.2 mm thickness. Two 1 mm holes in the metal tabs allow stitching with a #5 or smaller needle for secure conductive connections. The flat plastic back can be glued for extra mechanical stability.
Replaces Bulky Holders or Direct Soldering
The holder replaces bulkier battery compartments or fragile direct soldering when space and flexibility matter. The jump is worth it for projects that need quick battery changes without desoldering. It is not for builders who need rechargeable cells or higher capacity than the 200 mAh typical of CR2032 coins.
Simple Hand-Sewn Installation
Installation is straightforward: stitch through the tab holes with conductive thread and snap the coin cell into place. The sturdy holder ejects the battery with a push for easy replacement. What usually goes wrong is using a needle larger than #5, which cannot pass through the 1 mm holes, or expecting rechargeable chemistry from a lithium coin cell.
