A 2-metre replacement flex cable for Raspberry Pi cameras, extending the standard 150mm connection for flexible mounting
This 2 metre flex cable replaces the standard 150mm ribbon on a Raspberry Pi Camera or NoIR module. It measures 16mm wide and 0.2mm thick, weighing 15g. The longer reach lets you position the camera board farther from the single-board computer. Only the cable is included in the pack.
Makers who need to place the camera module up to 6.6 ft away from the Pi will find this length practical. Builders working inside electrically noisy enclosures or close to strong EMI sources should look elsewhere because the extended ribbon can pick up interference that corrupts images.
At 2 metres the cable reaches the practical limit of the Pi camera serial interface before signal degradation becomes likely. If your layout demands a longer run you will need an active extender or a different camera architecture.

The cable measures 2 meters long by 16 mm wide and 0.2 mm thick, which is 6.6 feet by 0.6 inches by 0.01 inches.
Carefully lift the locking tab on the Pi's camera connector, remove the original flex, insert this cable with contacts facing the board, then close the tab to secure it.
At 2 meters the signal can degrade in noisy environments such as near a Tesla coil, so you may need a shorter cable to avoid corrupted images.
