16-Core Ryzen Workstation for Media Production

The system pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor with 64GB of DDR5 memory and 8TB of NVMe storage across two Samsung 990 PRO drives. It targets creators and engineers who need high single-thread speed and large fast storage for video editing, 3D rendering or compilation workloads.

Liquid Cooling and High-Speed Connectivity

A 360mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU stable under sustained loads while the X870 motherboard adds two USB4 Type-C ports, Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7 wireless. The 850W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply delivers protected power with a quiet 140mm fan.

PCIe 4.0 Storage Ceiling and GPU Memory Limit

The two 4TB SSDs run at PCIe 4.0 speeds, capping sequential throughput at the interface maximum rather than the drive peak. The RTX 5060 Ti provides 8GB of video memory, which restricts texture-heavy 4K workloads and multi-GPU configurations not supported by this board.

Questions about this item

Will the liquid-cooling loop on the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D ever need refilling or pump replacement?

The 360 mm AIO is a sealed unit with no user-serviceable reservoir; pump or coolant failure would require replacing the entire cooler.

Which component hits its limit first when the RTX 5060 Ti runs sustained heavy workloads?

The Thermaltake Smart 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU caps continuous output at 850 W, so total system draw cannot exceed that ceiling.

How loud and hot does the 360 mm AIO and 140 mm PSU fan get during all-day operation?

Both fans are rated ultra-quiet; the liquid cooler handles the 16-core CPU heat while the PSU fan stays at low noise under typical loads.
