24-Core Threadripper Workstation

The Adamant Custom tower pairs a 24-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9960X processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It targets professionals who need sustained multi-threaded throughput for simulation, rendering or large dataset analysis. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and is marked AI Ready for accelerated workloads.

Liquid Cooling and 1200W Supply

A 360mm quiet-edition liquid cooler handles the CPU while a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold PSU with a 140mm fan delivers power. The case adds front and rear 120mm fans for chassis airflow. Protections include over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit safeguards.

Connectivity and Storage Layout

The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard provides rear USB4 Type-C, multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports, plus 10GbE LAN. Internal bays support two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch drives. Storage comprises two 4TB NVMe Samsung 990 PRO SSDs and a 10TB SATA HDD with 256MB cache.

Questions about this item

How is the 360 mm liquid cooler mounted on the sTR5 socket?

The AIO uses the sTR5 mounting bracket supplied with the motherboard; the step often missed is tightening the four captive screws in a diagonal pattern so the cold plate contacts all 24 cores evenly.

Which component will need replacement first — the 990 PRO SSDs or the 10 TB hard drive?

The 10 TB SATA drive has moving parts and a 256 MB cache; mechanical wear typically appears before the solid-state 990 PROs reach their write endurance.

What thermal limit appears first when the Threadripper 9960X runs at 5.3 GHz on all cores?

The 360 mm radiator and 140 mm fan can only move so much heat; coolant temperature hits its ceiling before the CPU reaches its maximum junction rating.
