24-Core Threadripper 9960X Workstation

This new workstation pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X processor running at 4.2GHz with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory. An Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 with 32GB VRAM handles GPU compute and rendering tasks. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the system.

Suited for AI and heavy compute.

The 24 cores, 48 threads and large ECC memory pool serve AI-ready workloads, simulation and multi-threaded rendering. Dual LAN ports and the WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboard provide workstation-grade I/O. Buyers who need only mainstream core counts or consumer-grade memory should look at other configurations.

512GB DDR5 ECC memory capacity

The installed 512GB DDR5 ECC memory is the specification that determines fit for large-dataset workloads and multi-VM environments. Two 4TB NVMe Samsung 990 PRO SSDs deliver up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write. A 10TB SATA HDD adds bulk storage. A 1600W 80+ Titanium PSU powers the build.

Questions about this item

Will the 24-core Threadripper 9960X fit my existing sTR5 motherboard?

The 9960X requires the sTR5 socket and WRX90E chipset; it will not work in an older TRX40 or sTRX4 board.

How do I verify the Samsung 990 PRO SSDs are running at PCIe 4.0 x4?

Check the drive speeds in Task Manager or Samsung Magician; each 4 TB unit should show sequential reads near 7450 MB/s and writes near 6900 MB/s.

Does the box include the Corsair 7000D case and the 1600 W Seasonic PSU?

Yes — the workstation ships fully assembled inside the Corsair 7000D Airflow tower with the Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 power supply installed.
