32-Core Threadripper Workstation

This workstation pairs a 32-Core AMD Threadripper 9970X processor with 512GB DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell 96GB GPU. It targets professionals running large-scale simulations, rendering pipelines or AI workloads that demand high core counts and massive GPU memory. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Suited for multi-threaded compute

Buyers who need more than 512GB system memory or additional GPU cards should look elsewhere. The board offers four M.2 connectors and four SATA ports for storage expansion, yet the 1600W power supply and chassis airflow set a practical ceiling on further upgrades. Single-threaded tasks that favour higher clock speeds over core count will not benefit from this configuration.

Straightforward deployment

The Corsair 7000D AIRFLOW case uses conventional mounting points and the Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 PSU follows standard ATX pinouts, so rack or bench integration is routine. The 360mm liquid cooler arrives pre-filled and requires only radiator mounting. The only common snag is the physical length of the RTX PRO 6000 card; verify clearance in any non-standard enclosure before installation.

Questions about this item

What power supply capacity is required to run the 1600W PSU and 32-core Threadripper 9970X?

The system ships with a Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 1600W 80+ Titanium unit, so no additional power supply is needed.

Can the Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboard still use my existing SATA III hard drives?

Yes, the board provides four SATA 6Gb/s ports that accept standard SATA III drives.

How do I verify the Samsung 990 PRO 4TB NVMe is delivering its rated speeds after setup?

Run a sequential read/write benchmark; the drive is specified for up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write.
