24-Core i9 Workstation

This desktop pairs a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900K with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. It ships with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive. The system is liquid cooled and runs Windows 11 Pro out of the box. It targets creators and professionals who need strong multi-threaded performance and GPU acceleration.

Upgrading from older platforms

Moving to this LGA 1700 platform from an earlier generation brings 24 cores and 32 threads with a maximum turbo of 6.00 GHz. The Z790 motherboard adds Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 alongside 2.5Gb Ethernet. The jump is worthwhile when your current machine bottlenecks on core count, memory bandwidth, or lacks modern wireless and storage interfaces.

64GB DDR5 and 1TB NVMe headroom

The 64GB DDR5 kit fills half the board's four slots, leaving room to reach the 192GB maximum later. The 990 PRO delivers sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s over PCIe 4.0x4. The 12GB GPU frame buffer handles high-resolution assets, while the 850W Bronze PSU powers the full stack. Buyers who need more than 1TB of primary storage or a second graphics card should plan additional drives or a different chassis.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler fit in the Corsair 4000D case without blocking the RAM slots?

The 360 mm AIO mounts at the front of the 4000D chassis, leaving the four DDR5 slots on the Z790 motherboard fully accessible.

Does the Thermaltake Smart 850 W PSU include the 12VHPWR cable required by the RTX 5070, or must I use an adapter?

The 850 W unit ships with a native 12VHPWR connector, so the RTX 5070 plugs in directly without an adapter.

If the AIO pump fails after the warranty period, can I replace it with a standard 360 mm unit, or is the mounting proprietary?

The cooler uses a standard LGA 1700 mounting kit, so any compatible 360 mm AIO can be swapped in later.
