Workstation for CAD and AI

This desktop pairs a six-core Ryzen 5 9600X processor with an Nvidia RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell graphics card carrying 48GB of video memory. Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR5 system memory and an 8TB NVMe array provide fast access to large assemblies and training datasets. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and is certified for SolidWorks modelling and AI learning workflows.

Liquid cooling and 850W supply

A 240mm quiet-edition liquid cooler handles the CPU while three 120mm front fans and a 140mm PSU fan move air through the Antec P20 mid-tower case. Dust filters on bottom, front and top panels reduce internal buildup. The Thermaltake Smart 850W 80 PLUS Bronze unit includes over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection.

192GB DDR5 ceiling

The Prime X870-P motherboard supports up to 192GB of DDR5 across four slots, so the current 64GB kit can be tripled without replacing the board. Four M.2 connectors and two SATA ports remain available for additional NVMe or hard drives. Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5G Ethernet give flexible high-speed network options.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 240 mm AIO liquid cooler onto the AM5 motherboard without bending the CPU pins?

Mount the AM5 retention bracket supplied with the cooler, apply thermal paste to the Ryzen 5 9600X heat-spreader, seat the cold-plate evenly, then tighten the four spring-loaded screws in a cross pattern until they stop — over-tightening bends the motherboard, not the pins.

Which component will need replacement first when the 10 TB hard drive reaches its rated workload limit?

The 10 TB HDD with 256 MB cache is the only mechanical drive; once its annualised workload rating is exceeded, the drive itself must be replaced — the two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSDs have no moving parts.

What thermal limit throttles the RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell first during a continuous 48 GB VRAM compute load?

The GPU core hits its factory thermal throttle before the liquid-cooled Ryzen 5 9600X reaches its junction limit, so the graphics card dictates sustained performance.
