Purpose-built workstation

This desktop pairs an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 9700X processor with 32GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia RTX A400 graphics card. The combination targets content creators and engineers who need reliable multi-threaded compute plus certified professional drivers for CAD or media applications. A 240mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU stable during long render jobs.

Graphics card interface

The RTX A400 connects through a PCI Express x16 slot and provides four Mini DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor setups. Its 4GB frame buffer suits 2D design, video timeline scrubbing and light 3D viewport work rather than heavy GPU compute. Builders who need a second card or more video memory should look elsewhere.

Sustained thermal behaviour

Liquid cooling and a 750W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply maintain consistent clocks during extended workloads. The Corsair 4000D case moves air through a 140mm fan while the AIO radiator handles CPU heat directly. Storage throughput stays high thanks to two 4TB Samsung 990 PRO drives rated for 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes.

Questions about this item

What does the 8-core Ryzen 7 9700X at 3.8 GHz base clock deliver in this system?

Eight Zen 5 cores and 16 threads run at 3.8 GHz base with a 5.50 GHz max boost, cooled by a 240 mm liquid cooler on the PRIME X870-P motherboard.

How does the PCI Express x16 slot limit the RTX A400 4 GB card?

The GPU connects through a PCIe 4.0 x16 link on the X870 chipset, so the four Mini DisplayPort outputs and 4 GB VRAM operate at full Gen 4 bandwidth.

What physical space and power does the Corsair 4000D case require for this build?

The case measures 490 × 239 × 486 mm, fits two 3.5″ and two 2.5″ drives, and is powered by a 750 W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU with a 140 mm fan.
