Core specification

This desktop is a liquid-cooled gaming tower built around a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor running at 4.3 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and an 8 TB NVMe storage array. The system targets enthusiasts who need high multi-thread throughput and fast asset loading in a single pre-assembled chassis.

Upgrade threshold

The configuration replaces an older platform when core count, memory bandwidth or PCIe 4.0 storage speed become bottlenecks. The jump is worthwhile if current workloads exceed 8-core limits or if SATA SSD throughput restricts project load times. Buyers who only need 1080p gaming frame rates will not utilise the headroom.

Build integration

The CoolerMaster HAF 500 case provides front 200 mm ARGB intake, rear 120 mm exhaust and a dedicated 120 mm GPU fan alongside the 240 mm AIO. A Thermaltake Smart 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze unit powers the board and graphics card. The Gigabyte X870 Eagle motherboard adds rear USB4 Type-C, 2.5 Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7 2x2 connectivity. Four memory slots remain open for expansion up to 192 GB.

Questions about this item

What motherboard and case clearances does the 240 mm AIO liquid cooler need?

The 240 mm Quiet Edition AIO mounts on the Gigabyte X870 Eagle AM5 socket and fits inside the Cooler Master HAF 500 tower, which measures 508 mm deep, 203 mm wide and 508 mm high.

How do I install the 32 GB DDR5 memory on the four-slot X870 Eagle board, and what step is often missed?

Populate the two supplied DDR5 modules into the primary slots indicated in the motherboard manual, then enable EXPO in the BIOS; skipping the BIOS step leaves the memory running at base speed.

When will the 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU or the 240 mm AIO liquid cooler need replacement?

The Thermaltake Smart 850 W unit uses a 140 mm fan and Japanese main capacitors rated for long life, while the sealed 240 mm AIO typically runs five to seven years before coolant loss or pump wear requires a swap.
