Core Configuration

This tower workstation pairs a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory, an 8TB NVMe array built from two Samsung 990 PRO drives, and a 10TB mechanical hard drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and the CPU is cooled by a 360mm liquid cooler.

Ideal Buyer And Limits

The system suits creators and gamers who want high core counts, fast SSD throughput and VR-ready graphics in a single chassis. Buyers who need more than 32GB of memory out of the box or who require additional PCIe add-in cards beyond what the motherboard provides should look elsewhere.

Deciding Specification

The motherboard supports a maximum of 192GB of DDR5 across four slots, so the 32GB fitted leaves three slots free for future expansion. If your workload demands more capacity immediately, this configuration will not meet that need without an upgrade.

Questions about this item

Does the motherboard's USB4 ports support the full 40 Gbps bandwidth?

The rear I/O includes two USB4 Type-C ports that run at the full USB4 40 Gbps rate, so compatible docks and drives will not be bottlenecked by the interface.

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler fit in the Design North case without blocking the front fans or RAM slots?

The case measures 447 mm deep and the front panel holds two 140 mm PWM fans; the 360 mm AIO mounts on the top panel, leaving the front fans and all four DDR5 slots completely clear.

Is there a BIOS step needed to enable the Samsung 990 PRO drives at their advertised 7450 MB/s read speed?

The drives are PCIe 4.0 x4 and the X870 chipset runs them at that speed by default; no manual BIOS change is required to reach the rated 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write.
