16-Core Liquid-Cooled Gaming Desktop

The Adamant Custom system pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor with a Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card. 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB NVMe SSD provide capacity for modern games and creative workloads. Windows 11 Pro is installed and the chassis is a Corsair 4000D with tempered glass panels.

Sustained Load Behaviour

A 240 mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU stable during extended rendering or compile sessions. The Thermaltake Smart 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply uses a Japanese main capacitor and a 140 mm fan rated for low noise. The X870 motherboard and 2.5 Gb Ethernet plus Wi-Fi 7 maintain connectivity without throttling.

Upgrade Context

This configuration replaces an older AM4 platform or a system limited to 16 GB of memory and a PCIe 3.0 drive. The jump is worth it when workloads need 16 cores, 5.70 GHz boost clocks and 7450 MB/s sequential storage speed. Builders who need more than four M.2 slots or a second graphics card should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How loud is the 140 mm PSU fan and 240 mm AIO when the Ryzen 9 9950X runs at 5.70 GHz all day?

The Thermaltake Smart 850W PSU uses an ultra-quiet 140 mm fan and the 240 mm Quiet Edition AIO is designed for low noise, so the system stays quiet even under sustained 16-core loads.

What display cables must I already own to connect a monitor to the Radeon RX 9070 XT?

The Radeon RX 9070 XT uses standard DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, so you need a matching DisplayPort or HDMI cable for your monitor.

Can I keep my SATA SSDs and 3.5-inch hard drives when moving to this Corsair 4000D build?

Yes, the motherboard provides two SATA 6 Gb/s ports and the case has two internal 3.5-inch bays, so existing SATA drives fit directly.
