Purpose-built AI workstation

This system pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor with a Radeon AI Pro R9700 32GB graphics card, 192GB DDR5 memory and a 4TB NVMe SSD. It targets engineers and researchers who train or fine-tune large language models locally. Liquid cooling and an 850W power supply sustain heavy, continuous workloads.

Who it suits and who it does not

Developers running multi-GPU clusters or needing ECC memory across all slots should evaluate rack-mount alternatives. Buyers whose workflows stay within 64GB or 128GB system memory and 16GB GPU memory will find smaller configurations more cost-effective.

Deciding specification

The Radeon AI Pro R9700 provides 32GB of video memory, letting sizable model layers stay on the GPU without swapping to system RAM. If your largest model fits in less VRAM, a card with lower capacity reduces expense without slowing inference.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler fit in the Corsair 4000D case?

The 360 mm AIO is mounted in the Corsair 4000D mid-tower, which measures 490 mm deep by 239 mm wide by 486 mm high and supports a 360 mm radiator.

How is the Radeon AI Pro R9700 graphics card installed, and what step is often missed?

Seat the card in the primary PCIe x16 slot on the PRIME X870-P motherboard, then attach the required power cables from the Thermaltake 850 W PSU — forgetting the GPU power connectors is the common oversight.

What maintenance will the liquid cooling loop and the 850 W power supply need later?

The sealed 360 mm AIO needs no refill; only clean the 140 mm radiator fans periodically. The PSU fan should be kept dust-free and the unit replaced if voltages drift out of spec.
