Workstation for SolidWorks and AI

This desktop pairs a 20-core Intel Core Ultra 7 265K with an Nvidia RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell graphics card carrying 48 GB of video memory. The combination targets engineers and researchers who run large assemblies, simulation workloads, and local AI inference on a single machine. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit ships pre-installed.

Liquid cooling and dual fast SSDs

A 240 mm all-in-one liquid cooler keeps the CPU at sustained clocks during long renders. Two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO drives in RAID provide 8 TB of NVMe storage with sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s, while a 10 TB hard drive with 256 MB cache adds bulk capacity for archives.

Connectivity and expansion headroom

The Z890-PLUS TUF motherboard supplies Thunderbolt 4, USB 20 Gbps and 10 Gbps Type-C ports, plus 2.5 Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Four M.2 slots and four SATA ports remain open for future drives, and the 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply leaves headroom for additional cards.

Questions about this item

How often should the liquid in the 240mm AIO cooler be checked or replaced?

The 240mm AIO is a sealed closed-loop cooler with no user-serviceable liquid; it runs maintenance-free for the life of the unit.

Which component hits its thermal ceiling first during an all-day render?

The Core Ultra 7 265K is rated up to 5.50 GHz boost; under sustained multi-core load the 240mm AIO will limit CPU clocks before the RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell reaches its thermal target.

What is the typical noise level from the 140mm PSU fan and case fans when the system runs 24/7?

The Thermaltake Smart 850W PSU uses an ultra-quiet 140mm fan, while the case runs three 120mm Aspect 12 RGB fans; together they stay at a low hum under continuous load.
