Built for compute-intensive workflows

This workstation pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory. The platform targets professionals running simulation, rendering or large-dataset workloads that demand high core counts and memory capacity. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and includes an Nvidia RTX 5060 8GB GPU for visualisation tasks.

Storage throughput limited by PCIe 4.0 interface

The two Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives deliver sequential reads up to 7450 MB/sec and writes up to 6900 MB/sec over a PCIe 4.0 x4 link. A 10TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk capacity at mechanical-drive speeds. Total installed solid-state capacity is 6TB across the two M.2 slots.

24-core Threadripper 9960X defines the performance

The CPU operates at a 4.2 GHz base frequency with a maximum boost of 5.3 GHz and 128MB of L3 cache across 24 cores and 48 threads. This processor specification determines whether the system meets the parallel-processing requirements of the intended workload.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 2 TB or 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO as my primary NVMe drive?

The 4 TB model gives you twice the capacity for active projects while keeping the same 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write ceiling; pick it if your working sets exceed 2 TB.

What does the Threadripper 9960X 24-core 4.2 GHz base clock deliver inside this chassis?

All 24 cores and 48 threads run at 4.2 GHz base and can boost to 5.3 GHz under the 360 mm liquid cooler, with 128 MB L3 cache feeding the DDR5 ECC memory.

How fast can the PCIe 4.0 x4 link actually move data to the 990 PRO SSDs?

The motherboard’s PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots cap sequential throughput at the drives’ rated 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write.
