Adamant Custom Threadripper 9960X 24-Core Liquid Cooled 256GB DDR5 10TB NVMe 10TB HDD RTX 5060 8GB Workstation

Threadripper 9960X 24-core workstation

This new Adamant Custom desktop pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory on a Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed and the system is marked AI Ready for machine-learning workloads. The CPU runs at a 4.2GHz base clock and can boost to 5.3GHz with 128MB of L3 cache. Dual LAN ports provide wired network connectivity.

Storage layout and expansion

Three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives deliver a combined 10TB of PCIe 4.0x4 solid-state capacity rated at up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write. A 10TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk storage with a 256MB cache. The Corsair 5000D Frame case still has two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch internal bays free for additional drives. Mid-board headers expose four more M.2 slots, eight SATA 6Gb/s ports and multiple USB 2.0, 3.2 Gen 1 and Gen 2 connections for future upgrades.

Liquid cooling and 1200W Gold power

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO cooler handles the Threadripper CPU while a 140mm fan in the Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W 80 Plus Gold supply keeps PSU noise low. Front and rear 120mm case fans move air through the tempered-glass chassis measuring 520 x 245 x 520 mm. Protection circuits guard against over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit events. The RTX 5060 8GB graphics card draws power from the same rail without needing a larger supply.
