Purpose-built workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 24-core Threadripper 9960X with 512GB DDR5 ECC memory and an RTX PRO 6000 96GB GPU. The configuration targets professionals who need sustained multi-threaded throughput and large GPU memory for simulation, rendering or AI workloads. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Upgrade path

The system replaces older workstations limited to quad-channel memory and smaller GPU frame buffers by moving to eight-channel DDR5 and 96GB VRAM. The jump is worth it when datasets exceed 64GB or when concurrent CPU and GPU tasks saturate lesser platforms. The 1600W 80+ Titanium PSU supports the full platform without headroom concerns.

Sustained load behaviour

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO and a 140mm PSU fan keep the 24-core CPU at high frequencies during extended renders or compute jobs. The 1TB NVMe SSD delivers up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes for scratch space, while the 10TB SATA drive provides bulk capacity. Rear 10GbE enables fast network storage access.

Questions about this item

What motherboard socket and cooler clearance does the Threadripper 9960X need?

The sTR5 socket on the GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D board accepts the 360 mm quiet-edition AIO liquid cooler mounted to the front or top of the Corsair 5000D FRAME case.

Which power cables must be connected for the RTX PRO 6000 96 GB GPU?

The Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 80+ Titanium PSU supplies the GPU through its native 12VHPWR connector; seat the plug fully until the latch clicks to avoid intermittent power.

How often should the AIO liquid cooler be checked or replaced?

Inspect the 360 mm radiator and pump annually for dust buildup or noise; plan on replacing the sealed loop after roughly five years of continuous operation.
