Professional Workstation Core

This business desktop centres on a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X processor reaching 5.3 GHz with 128MB L3 cache. The 64GB DDR5 ECC memory and liquid cooling target users who need sustained multi-threaded throughput for rendering, simulation or large dataset analysis.

Storage Interface Limits

Two 4TB Samsung 990 PRO drives deliver up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write over PCIe 4.0 x4. The 10TB hard drive adds capacity at SATA 6Gb/s speeds. Builders who need more storage or faster sequential bandwidth must look beyond the installed drives.

Build and Connectivity Implications

A Corsair 5000D Frame case with tempered glass houses a Seasonic 1600W 80+ Titanium supply and a 360mm liquid cooler. The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard provides rear USB4 Type-C, 10GbE LAN, 7.1-channel audio and multiple internal M.2 and SATA ports for future expansion.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 8TB NVMe or the 10TB HDD for my main workload?

The 8TB NVMe array uses two 4TB Samsung 990 PRO drives reaching 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write, ideal for active projects; the 10TB SATA HDD adds 256 MB cache bulk storage for archives.

What does the 24-core 4.2 GHz Threadripper 9960X deliver in a real workstation?

Twenty-four cores and forty-eight threads with a 5.3 GHz boost and 128 MB L3 cache handle heavy multi-threaded rendering, simulation and AI inference under the 360 mm liquid cooler.

Which interface caps the GPU and NVMe speeds in this build?

The RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell 96 GB and the dual 4TB NVMe SSDs both run on PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes from the TRX50 AERO D motherboard, setting the practical throughput ceiling.
