Target Workstation

The Adamant Custom workstation centres on a 32-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9970X processor paired with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory. A 4TB NVMe SSD and a 10TB SATA hard drive provide fast primary storage and deep archival capacity. An Nvidia RTX A400 GPU with four MiniDisplayPort outputs drives professional visual workloads under Windows 11 Pro.

Thermal & Power Profile

A 360mm liquid cooler handles the Threadripper CPU while the Corsair 5000D FRAME case supplies front and rear 120mm airflow. The Thermaltake 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power unit uses Japanese capacitors and a 140mm fan rated for low noise. Protection circuits cover over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit events.

Connectivity & Expansion

The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard rear panel delivers two USB4 Type-C ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectors. Internal headers add one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 1, four USB 2.0, eight SATA 6Gb/s and four M.2 slots. Front I/O includes two USB 3.0, one USB 3.1 Type-C and audio jacks driven by Realtek ALC4080 and ALC897 codecs. Marvell AQtion 10GbE LAN provides 10, 5, 2.5 and 1 Gbps network speeds.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler in the Corsair 5000D Frame case and what step is often missed?

Mount the radiator to the front or top panel using the included brackets, then connect the pump header to the CPU_FAN connector on the GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D motherboard; the step often missed is plugging the pump into the dedicated CPU_FAN header instead of a generic SYS_FAN header.

What maintenance will the 360 mm liquid cooler and 1200 W power supply need over time?

The sealed 360 mm AIO requires no coolant refills; clean dust from the radiator fins and the PSU's 140 mm fan intake every six to twelve months to maintain airflow and cooling performance.

What thermal or power limit appears first when the 32-core Threadripper 9970X runs sustained all-core workloads?

The 360 mm liquid cooler's heat-dissipation capacity typically becomes the limiting factor before the 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU reaches its rated output during prolonged maximum turbo operation.
