32-Core Threadripper Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9970X 32-core processor with 128GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It targets professionals running multi-threaded workloads such as rendering, simulation or large-scale data analysis. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and dual LAN ports for network redundancy.

360mm AIO Cooler and 1200W Gold PSU

A 360mm quiet-edition liquid cooler handles the CPU while a 140mm PSU fan keeps the 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit calm. Front and rear 120mm case fans move air through the Corsair 5000D Frame chassis. Over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protections guard the build.

6TB NVMe and 10TB SATA Storage

Two Samsung 990 PRO drives deliver 6TB of NVMe capacity over PCIe 4.0 x4, while a 10TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk storage with 256MB cache. The RTX A400 4GB GPU provides four Mini DisplayPort outputs. The TRX50 AERO D motherboard exposes four M.2 slots, eight SATA 6Gb/s ports and extensive USB 3.2 and USB4 connectivity for expansion.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm AIO liquid cooler on the Threadripper 9970X, and what step is often missed?

Mount the 360 mm radiator to the case fan locations, attach the cold plate to the sTR5 socket with the supplied hardware, then connect the pump header and the 140 mm fan header; the step most people skip is removing the protective film from the cold-plate base before seating it.

What maintenance or replacement will the 128 GB DDR5 ECC memory and the 6 TB NVMe SSD need later?

The DDR5 ECC modules have no moving parts and require no scheduled replacement; the Samsung 990 PRO SSDs are rated for high endurance, so under normal workloads they will not need replacement during the system’s useful life.

What thermal or power limit appears first when the 32-core Threadripper 9970X runs at 5.4 GHz boost under sustained load?

The 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and the 360 mm AIO are sized for the CPU’s full turbo, so the first limit reached is the processor’s own thermal ceiling, which causes automatic clock reduction to stay within its rated temperature.
