Workstation for Compute-Intensive Workflows

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 32-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9970X with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX 4500 Blackwell 32GB GPU. A 2TB NVMe drive handles active projects while a 10TB SATA HDD stores archives. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit ships pre-installed on a 1200W platform.

Suited to Simulation and Large-Model Tasks

Engineers running multi-physics simulations, developers training large language models or studios rendering complex scenes gain the memory capacity and GPU frame buffer those workloads demand. Buyers who need more storage bays than the four 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch slots provide should look elsewhere.

512GB DDR5 ECC Memory Decides Fit

The eight-channel, 512GB DDR5 ECC configuration is the specification that determines whether this workstation matches the dataset size. If the working set fits within this capacity the system delivers the throughput the CPU and GPU can sustain; if it exceeds it, the machine cannot be expanded further.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive use, and what does that limit its sequential throughput to?

The drive runs on a PCIe 4.0 x4 link, capping sequential reads at 7450 MB/s and writes at 6900 MB/s.

What case dimensions and internal drive bays does the Corsair 5000D FRAME provide for this build?

The case measures 520 × 245 × 520 mm and includes two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch internal bays.

How is the 360 mm liquid cooler mounted on the sTR5 socket, and what step is often missed?

The AIO uses the sTR5 mounting bracket; the step people forget is tightening the four captive screws in a cross pattern to ensure even pressure.
