Workstation for heavy compute

This business desktop pairs a 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X with 256GB DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 32GB graphics card. It targets professionals who need large parallel throughput for rendering, simulation or AI workloads in a single tower system.

Sustained load behaviour

Liquid cooling on the CPU and a 1600W 80+ Titanium power supply keep clocks stable during extended multi-threaded runs. The 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive delivers up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes without throttling, while the 10TB SATA HDD adds high-capacity bulk storage.

Thermals, noise and power

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO cooler and low-noise 140mm PSU fan limit acoustic output under load. The Seasonic Prime TX-1600 unit provides over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection. Front and rear 120mm case fans maintain airflow through the Corsair 5000D Frame chassis.

Questions about this item

How loud is the 360 mm liquid cooler and 140 mm PSU fan when the Threadripper 9980X runs at full load all day?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition liquid cooler and the Seasonic PRIME TX-1600's 140 mm fan are both designed for low noise, so the system stays quiet even during sustained 64-core workloads.

Which display cables and monitor inputs do I need to use the RTX 5090 32GB?

The RTX 5090 provides modern display outputs; you will need a monitor with matching inputs and the appropriate cable — typically DisplayPort or HDMI — to connect it.

Can I keep my existing SATA 6Gb/s SSDs and 10 GbE network switch with the TRX50 AERO D motherboard?

Yes, the motherboard includes eight SATA 6Gb/s ports and a Marvell AQC113C 10 GbE LAN port, so current SATA drives and a 10 GbE switch will work directly.
