64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X at 3.2GHz with 128GB of DDR5 ECC memory. A 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive and a 10TB SATA hard drive provide fast and deep storage. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit and a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply.

Who It Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

Engineers running large simulations, rendering pipelines or multi-instance virtualization benefit from the core count and ECC memory. Buyers who need more than 128GB of RAM or more than four Mini DisplayPort outputs should consider other configurations. The single RTX A400 GPU limits double-precision compute and large-model AI training.

Deciding Specification: 64 Cores / 128 Threads

The processor delivers 64 cores and 128 threads with a 256MB L3 cache and boost up to 5.4GHz. This core density is the single figure that determines whether the workstation fits workloads that scale across many simultaneous threads. If the software cannot use that parallelism, a lower-core-count system will be more cost-effective.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm AIO cooler fit inside the Corsair 5000D Frame case?

Yes, the Corsair 5000D Frame measures 520 mm deep, 245 mm wide and 520 mm high, providing standard top-mount clearance for a 360 mm radiator.

What is the correct orientation for the 360 mm liquid cooler when installing it on the sTR5 socket?

Mount the radiator at the top of the case with tubes at the bottom of the pump block to keep air out of the cold plate.

How often should the liquid in the 360 mm AIO be checked or replaced?

The sealed 360 mm AIO is maintenance-free for its service life; only clean the radiator fins and fans periodically.
