Built for heavy compute

This workstation pairs a 64-Core Threadripper 9980X with 256GB DDR5 ECC memory and a 360mm liquid cooler. The sTR5 platform delivers 128 threads for rendering, simulation and large-scale data workloads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on fast NVMe storage.

Storage and GPU additions

Two Samsung 990 PRO drives provide 6TB combined NVMe capacity with read speeds up to 7450 MB/sec and writes up to 6900 MB/sec. A 10TB SATA HDD adds bulk archive space. The RTX 5060 8GB handles display output and light GPU acceleration.

Capacity comfort zone

The 64 cores and 256GB ECC RAM comfortably run multi-threaded compile jobs, virtualisation clusters and memory-heavy analytics. The 1200W Gold PSU supplies headroom for the CPU and GPU under sustained load. Builders needing more than 6TB of high-speed NVMe or a second high-end GPU should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler need coolant replacement or pump service?

The 360 mm AIO is a sealed unit; no user coolant replacement is required and the pump is rated for continuous operation.

What limits the Threadripper 9980X during sustained all-core workloads?

The 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and 360 mm cooler set the thermal and power ceiling for 64 cores at up to 5.4 GHz.

How loud and hot does the system run with the RTX 5060 and Threadripper under all-day load?

The 140 mm PSU fan and quiet-edition AIO keep noise low; case front and rear 120 mm fans exhaust heat from the 1200 W supply and GPU.
