Core Workstation Identity

This liquid cooled tower workstation pairs a 64-Core AMD Threadripper 9980X processor with 128GB DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX A400 4GB graphics card. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and targets professionals who need sustained multi-threaded compute for rendering, simulation or large dataset analysis. The 360mm AIO cooler keeps the CPU stable under continuous load.

Build Integration Requirements

The system occupies a Corsair 5000D FRAME chassis measuring 520 x 245 x 520 mm and draws power from a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold supply with a 140mm quiet fan. Two 120mm case fans handle airflow while the motherboard provides 2 x USB4 Type-C, 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 and 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports at the rear. Builders who need additional internal 3.5-inch bays beyond the two provided or more than four 2.5-inch slots should plan external storage.

Storage and Software Impact

Three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives deliver 2TB, 4TB and 4TB capacities with sequential reads up to 7450 MB/sec and writes up to 6900 MB/sec, while a 10TB SATA HDD adds bulk capacity. This layout frees all four M.2 slots on the TRX50 AERO D board for future expansion. Windows 11 Pro enables immediate domain join and BitLocker encryption for regulated workloads. Users requiring GPU compute beyond 4GB VRAM or multi-GPU scaling will need a different graphics configuration.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler keep the 64-core Threadripper 9980X from throttling during sustained all-core workloads?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO is designed for the 64-core Threadripper 9980X up to 5.4 GHz boost, and the Corsair 5000D case adds front and rear 120 mm fans for airflow across the radiator.

How loud is the system when the 1200 W Gold PSU and liquid cooler run continuously?

The PSU uses a 140 mm ultra-quiet fan and the 360 mm AIO is a Quiet Edition model; together with the case's 120 mm front and rear fans the system is built for low-noise operation.

Does the workstation arrive ready to run or do I need to add a display and input devices?

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and all internal components are assembled; you only need to connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to start working.
