64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This liquid-cooled desktop pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper 9980X processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory for professional workloads. It targets engineers, researchers and content creators who need sustained multi-threaded throughput in a single workstation chassis.

Sustained multi-threaded throughput

The 360mm AIO cooler keeps the CPU near its 5.4GHz boost ceiling during extended renders, simulations or compile jobs without thermal throttling. Three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives deliver up to 7450 MB/sec read and 6900 MB/sec write speeds across 10TB of fast storage, while the 10TB SATA HDD adds high-capacity bulk space for project archives.

Thermals noise and power draw

A Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit with a 140mm fan supplies power efficiently, and the case uses front and rear 120mm fans for airflow. The liquid CPU loop and quiet-edition cooler are designed for low acoustic output under load, keeping the system suitable for office environments.

Questions about this item

How loud is the 360mm liquid cooler and 140mm PSU fan when the 64-core Threadripper runs all day?

The workstation uses a 360mm Quiet Edition AIO for the CPU and a 1200W PSU with a 140mm ultra-quiet fan, both designed for low noise under sustained load.

What display cables or monitor inputs do I need for the RTX 5080 16GB?

The RTX 5080 requires a compatible display cable such as DisplayPort or HDMI; the workstation includes no cables, so you must provide your own monitor and cable.

Can I keep my existing SATA III hard drives and plug them into the motherboard?

Yes, the TRX50 AERO D board provides eight SATA 6Gb/s ports, so your current SATA III drives will connect directly.
