Adamant Custom Threadripper 9980X 64-Core Workstation 256GB DDR5 6TB NVMe 10TB HDD RTX 5080 16GB

Workstation for 64-core workloads

This system pairs a 64-core Threadripper 9980X processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an RTX 5080 16GB graphics card. It targets professionals running heavy compute, rendering or AI tasks that demand high core counts and large memory capacity. The liquid-cooled CPU and 1200W power supply support sustained multi-threaded performance. Buyers needing a smaller core count or lower memory ceiling should look elsewhere.

PCIe 4.0 storage limits and USB topology

Two Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives deliver up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes on PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes. A 10TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk capacity at 6Gb/s interface speed. The TRX50 AERO D motherboard provides two rear USB4 Type-C ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2, four USB 3.2 Gen 1, plus mid-board USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 headers. Builds requiring PCIe 5.0 storage speeds or more than two USB4 ports will not be satisfied by this platform.

Corsair 5000D Frame case with 360 mm AIO cooling

The tempered-glass chassis measures 520 x 245 x 520 mm and includes front and rear 120 mm fans alongside a 360 mm quiet-edition liquid cooler for the CPU. Internal bays accommodate two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch drives. Front I/O offers two USB 3.0, one USB 3.1 Type-C and audio jacks. Rear audio uses Realtek ALC4080 and ALC897 codecs. The 80 Plus Gold 1200W unit uses a 140 mm fan and Japanese main capacitors. Users needing a more compact enclosure or additional 3.5-inch bays beyond two will find the layout restrictive.
