64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper 9980X with 64GB of DDR5 ECC memory for multi-threaded professional workloads. The platform targets creators, engineers and researchers who need sustained compute density in a single desktop chassis. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and the system ships new from the builder.

360mm Liquid Cooling and 1200W Gold PSU

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO handles the CPU while the case adds front and rear 120mm fans for airflow. The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit uses Japanese main capacitors and a 140mm fan rated for low noise. Over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protections are built in.

Sustained Multi-Core Throughput

Three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives deliver up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes across 10TB of fast storage, complemented by a 10TB SATA HDD with 256MB cache. The RTX PRO 2000 16GB GPU supports AI-ready pipelines. Builders who need more than 64GB of memory or additional GPU slots should verify expandability before ordering.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 360mm liquid cooler on the sTR5 motherboard, and what step do people often skip?

Secure the cooler to the Threadripper 9980X using the sTR5 mounting brackets supplied with the motherboard; the step often missed is removing the protective film from the cold-plate before installation.

Which component will likely need replacement first under heavy workloads?

The 1200W 80 PLUS Gold PSU contains electrolytic capacitors that age with heat; plan to swap the unit after several years of sustained 64-core load.

What thermal limit appears first when all 64 cores run at 5.4 GHz for long periods?

The 360mm AIO reaches its heat-dissipation ceiling before the CPU hits its maximum junction temperature, causing the processor to throttle.
