Built for heavy compute

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 24-core Threadripper PRO 9965WX with 128GB DDR5 ECC memory and an RTX 5090 32GB GPU. It targets engineers, researchers and studios running large simulations, rendering or AI workloads that demand both massive parallel throughput and certified stability. The workstation ships with Windows 11 Pro installed.

Thermals and power

A 360mm AIO quiet-edition cooler handles the CPU while a 1600W 80+ Titanium Seasonic PSU with a 140mm ultra-quiet fan supplies power. The Corsair 5000D Frame case adds front and rear 120mm fans for case airflow. Together they keep noise low during sustained multi-threaded loads without throttle risk.

Storage layout decides fit

The OS and active projects land on a 2TB Samsung 990 PRO plus a 4TB 990 PRO, both PCIe 4.0 NVMe, while a 10TB SATA HDD provides bulk capacity. If your workflow needs more than 6TB of high-speed scratch space or a second GPU, this configuration will not cover it.

Questions about this item

How is the 360mm liquid CPU cooler installed, and what step is commonly missed?

The 360mm AIO cooler arrives pre-filled and mounted to the Threadripper PRO 9965WX on the sTR5 socket. The step often missed is connecting the pump header and the three 120mm radiator fans to the correct motherboard fan headers so the BIOS can control speeds under load.

Which components will need maintenance or replacement first during long-term use?

The 140mm PSU fan and the two 120mm case fans are the only moving parts outside the sealed AIO loop. Dust buildup on the radiator and fan blades reduces airflow, so schedule cleaning every 6–12 months; the AIO pump itself is not user-serviceable.

What thermal or power limit appears first when the 24-core CPU and RTX 5090 run sustained heavy workloads?

The 1600W 80+ Titanium PSU delivers ample headroom, but the 360mm radiator surface area ultimately caps CPU heat dissipation. Under prolonged all-core 4.2GHz loads the coolant temperature rises until the fan curve hits maximum RPM, limiting further boost to 5.3GHz.
