Workstation for AI and compute

The Adamant Custom tower pairs a 24-core Threadripper PRO 9965WX with 128GB DDR5 ECC memory and an RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell 96GB GPU. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the 4TB NVMe drive. The platform targets professionals who need large GPU memory and CPU core count for simulation, rendering or model training.

Thermals and power in daily load

A 360mm quiet-edition liquid cooler handles the CPU while the Corsair 7000D case moves air through three 140mm fans. The Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 80+ Titanium unit supplies 1600W with Japanese capacitors and over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection. Acoustic profile stays low under sustained workloads.

Storage layout and expandability

The 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive delivers up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write. A 10TB SATA HDD with 256MB cache adds bulk capacity. The WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboard provides four M.2 slots, four SATA ports and six internal drive bays for further expansion.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid CPU cooler on the Threadripper PRO 9965WX, and what step is often missed?

Mount the radiator with fans pulling air through it, then attach the cold-plate to the sTR5 socket using the supplied bracket — the step people skip is removing the protective film from the cold-plate before securing it.

What maintenance will the 1600 W 80+ Titanium PSU and the 360 mm AIO need over time?

Clean the PSU intake filter and radiator fins every 6–12 months; the AIO is a sealed loop so it requires no fluid replacement, but check pump noise annually.

Which limit appears first during sustained all-core workloads on the 24-core 4.2 GHz CPU with the 360 mm cooler?

The CPU will hit its thermal ceiling and throttle before the 1600 W PSU reaches its continuous power limit.
