Workstation For AI And Heavy Compute

This tower workstation is built around a 24-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9965WX processor running at 4.2 GHz with a 5.4 GHz boost. It includes 64 GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX 5090 graphics card with 32 GB VRAM. The system targets professionals who need local AI inference, rendering or simulation performance in a single box.

Storage Interface Limits And Expandability

The operating system and active projects sit on two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO drives using PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe, delivering up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes. Bulk data lives on a 10 TB SATA III hard drive with 256 MB cache. The motherboard provides four M.2 slots and four SATA 6 Gb/s ports for further expansion.

Platform Requirements Before Ordering

The WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboard uses the sTR5 socket and requires a Threadripper PRO processor; standard Ryzen CPUs will not fit. The 1600 W Seasonic Prime TX-1600 power supply occupies a standard ATX bay but draws significant mains current. The Corsair 7000D Airflow case measures 600 x 248 x 550 mm and weighs substantially when fully populated.
